Guedel Airways , also known as oropharyngeal airways, are medical devices used to maintain an open airway in unconscious patients or those under general anesthesia. These airways consist of a curved tube with flanges or a flared end to prevent the device from being inserted too far into the mouth. Guedel airways are inserted into the mouth and positioned to keep the tongue from obstructing the upper airway, facilitating unobstructed passage of air to the lungs. Its integral hard bite block avoids airway occlusion and biting of tongue
The airway has a stepless airway path which allows for easy cleaning
The bite blocks are colour coded for instant identification of sizes
It is manufactured from non-toxic, non-irritant polymer PE
It is individually packed in peelable soft blister pack and is sterile, ready for use
The airway is available in the sizes of 000, 00, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4
They come in a standard packing of 50 units per box
